I am working on what I hope will be my next book, about the River Tyne, from source to sea. I have got some great images already!

We have just returned from our latest section of our walk from Eastbourne to Cape Wrath. Over 4 days we walked from Tamworth in Staffordshire to Ashbourne in Derbyshire. We were lucky with the weathger apart from a couple of snow showers on one day, but the scenery and the canals and and the spring flowers were all glorious.

Cumbria Life Magazine for March features a major article on my book "A String of Pearls: Landscape and Literature of the Lake District".

Yesterday we sat outside in warm sunshine having breakfast, today we had an inch of snow!! This is the view from our house on both occasions...
